We found this gem at the Specialty Food Association Summer Fancy Food Show and knew it should have a home in our cheese case!

Introducing: Laura Chenel Jalapeño Chili Marinated Goat Cheese 🌶️

Creamy discs of goat cheese, marinated in extra virgin olive oil and infused with crushed chilies. Savory, spicy, and seriously sophisticated. Oh, and can we talk about how cute this little bucket is?

This month’s cheese club is a love letter to Torino 🇮🇹

Meredith and Brahim recently traveled to Italy, and they’re still buzzing from the producers they met and the flavors that stopped them in their tracks. The centerpiece of August’s box: Cravero Parmigiano, from a family that’s been perfecting this cheese for generations. They visited the Cravero family in person, walked the aging rooms, and came home excited to share exactly what they tasted with our club members.

Comté is one of those cheeses customers ask for by name. You bite in and get that nutty, almost brown-butter richness, sometimes a little sweet, sometimes with a toasted, roasted quality depending on how long it’s been aged.

The younger wheels are softer, milder, a bit grassy and buttery. Give it more time and the flavor deepens. Those little crunchy crystals you find in aged wheels are tyrosine, a natural amino acid that forms as the cheese matures, and a good sign the cheese has had real time to develop.
