How do you even explain how tired and exhausted you can become as a single mom of three daughters when you have zero support?
No family nearby. No friends to share the load. No one to tag in when you’re running on empty. It’s just you.
A full-time job. Three daughters. A cat. School. Homework. After-school activities. Meals. Groceries. Laundry. Dishes. Bills. Housework. Planning. Driving. Scheduling. Remembering all the little things that somehow always need to be remembered.
Up at 4:45 a.m. Get everyone where they need to be. Work all day. Run to activities. Sometimes I don’t get home until after 9:30 p.m. like tonight.
Then pack lunches for the next day. Finish grades. Answer work emails. Say goodnight. Load the dishwasher. Start another load of laundry.
And then you finally crawl into bed knowing the alarm is going to go off in a few hours, less than 5hrs of sleep… and you get up and do it all over again.
Every. Single. Day.
So, yeah… sometimes I just can’t handle any more noise.
I can’t handle more questions, more talking, more stimulation, more things needing my attention. My brain is simply DONE. 😩
Sometimes I need to sit down with my sketchbook, draw, escape into my own little world for a while, and let my brain finally be quiet.
It’s not that I don’t love my life. I do. More than anything. ❤️
I’m just exhausted.
And sometimes taking a little time to disappear into my art isn’t me checking out.
It’s how I calm my brain enough to keep showing up. 🎨❤️
