Bergquist Imports Inc. Bergquist Imports is an importer of Fine Scandinavian and European Gift items. Family owned/operated In 1986 Berggren Trayner was purchased.

Bergquist Imports was started in the home of Margaret and Richard Bergquist's on Avenue C in Cloquet, MN. The company is now owned son Barry Bergquist and his wife Vivian. Berggren Trayner decorates fine china, ceramic, & glassware. They also provide custom design items for organizations, events, churches and corporations.

The Soo Locks are closed but it does not stop us from posting one last of the season.
🛳 Interlake Steamship’s Hon James L. Oberstar (1959) pulls into Fraser Shipyards in Superior, Wisconsin for winter layup Wednesday morning.The Lee A. Tregurtha (1942) can be seen in the distance waiting for the Oberstar to enter drydock before docking at Fraser for the winter as well. Great Lakes Towing tug Missouri (1927) finally gets a rest from icebreaking!

Are we there yet:

The Philip R. Clarke completed its final ore load of the season in below-zero conditions. Meanwhile, the USCGC Mackinaw continued its ice-breaking duties as part of Operation Taconite within the Twin Ports. Captain Hein humorously set their last destination as "are we there yet," a fitting sendoff to conclude another season of hard work.

Really the last ship to load Iron Ore this season! The Presque Isle Departing the Duluth CN dock this Friday late morning. They arrived last night to do a partial load of ore. Come Spring, they will be back to top off the load and depart Duluth fully loaded!
