Excited to be exhibiting at Antiques at the Tavern in historic Hanover, VA again this year! The van is all packed, and I’ll be bringing lots of fresh to the market 18th and early 19th century American objects to the show! Don’t miss it!

Just returned from a short sojourn to the historic Williamsburg, VA area. Here is the Ol’ Viginia Picker contemplating the serene beauty and history of the mighty James River, near the site of Harrison’s Landing on Berkeley Plantation in Charles City County. Charles City Co. was the home of my earliest American ancestors, so of course it holds a special place in my heart. But enough of that, time to get out there and do some pickin’!

The best show I’ve ever had at Fishersville! We had a great crowd both days!

Really enoyed meeting all the folks who came by, repeat customers as well as many new ones. Also found several great pieces at the show. There were plenty of good buys left on Saturday!

Will be in my usual spot in the New Barn in May!

The Ol’ Virginia Picker will be in the New Barn for the upcoming Fishersville Antiques Expo this weekend! Getting everything all packed up to go! Will be bringing an assortment of 18th & early 19th C. Americana, mostly fresh pickins’ from the summer.
The weather forecast calls for sunny days both Friday and Saturday! Gonna be a good one!

Another recent find for the upcoming Fishersville Antiques Expo on October 14th-15th!

Historic collection of 10, Prehistoric Native American, FRANKLIN CO., VA projectile points, from an early ROANOKE CO., VA Collection; Early Archaic Period (8000-6000 B.C.) to Late Woodland Period (900-1650 A.D.), collected circa 1860-1880. Each sewn by hand onto cardstock, labeled “FRANKLIN CO., VA.”, & inscribed on the reverse “10 Pieces Select-Franklin Co., Va.” & “From K. Palmer’s Collection”, “Gish’s, Roanoke Co., Va.”. The collection was formed by K. Palmer, owner of a General Store located at “Bonsack’s Depot” (Bonsack, VA) from at least 1858 to 1880.
