Love these guys!!

The Marine Betta is a stunning and peaceful marine species native to the Indo-Pacific. It is easily recognized by its dark brown to black body covered with white spots and the large eyespot near the rear of its dorsal fin, which helps mimic the head of a moray eel and deter predators. Marine Bettas are shy, crepuscular fish that spend much of the day sheltering among caves and rockwork, becoming more active during dawn, dusk, and feeding times.

The Shy Hamlet is a beautiful and relatively uncommon member of the hamlet group of reef basslets found throughout the tropical western Atlantic and Caribbean. It is distinguished by its pale tan to cream-colored body covered with numerous small dark spots, giving it a subtle yet elegant appearance. Like other hamlets, the Shy Hamlet is a solitary predator that spends much of its time hovering close to reef structures, darting out to capture small fish, shrimp, and other crustaceans.

Despite their predatory nature, Volitan Lionfish are often personable aquarium inhabitants that learn to recognize their caretakers and may even beg for food. Their venomous spines require careful handling and respect during tank maintenance, but with proper care, they can live well over 10 years and become an impressive centerpiece in a large fish-only or predator-themed marine aquarium.
