OMGOODNESS!! What a weekend! It was so much fun to welcome in all of our new friends and see all of our old friends too!

I was in Texas last week spending time with my mom. It wouldn’t have been possible with the help of some very special friends and my daughter. They have stepped in for me so that I was able to make that visit. I am so appreciative of their kindness and love. ♥️

I am back and ready to see y’all’s smiling faces! Mary has been busy putting out fresh vintage while I was gone!

When does fall start for you? Is it when the kids head back to school? Is it when September arrives or after Labor Day? Or is it when it cools down enough to fell like fall? I’m a September 1st believer! Both of my children were born in September and their birth announcements include big, beautiful pumpkins!

I love everything about fall! The scents, the colors, the activities and all the yummy recipes.

If you aren’t a fan of traditional seasonal decor, may I suggest dried florals? I paired them with muted orange terracotta vases for a subtle nod to the season. We have a wide variety of both dried florals and vases in stock!

How about a “What I Found Friday” flatlay? I definitely sourced a lot of interesting pieces this week that are a different vibe than what I’m normally drawn to. The marble book ends go perfect with vintage books and the w**e glasses are one of a kind! It has all the fall feels with twist!

A few months ago, an older gentleman came into the shop carrying a box. He set it on the counter and asked me if I bought china. I said that I did but unfortunately they did not sell for a large amount so the amount I could offer would probably be lower than he thought it might be.

He went on to tell me that he was 86 and it was his mother’s china. They had lived in Kanas and had been wheat farmers. He pulled out a piece of china and showed me the wheat pattern. He then explained that his father had bought the set piece by piece as he could afford it as a gift for his mother.

The gentleman told me he that he had no one to leave the china to but he couldn’t bear to donated it. He asked me to find a new family for it to grace their table. I answered I would be honored to.

As I was changing the displays to fall, I knew the perfect set of china to use! I paired it with blue and white, as a fun way to bring an heirloom and something more modern, together. If you love this look as much as I do, the china set is available!
