Re-introduce ourselves and who we are 🐐💕
Our business provides the community with a mobile petting zoo & Goat Milk Products. I am motivated by my disabled veteran husband as all of this is because of him. When he got out of the Air Force in 2014; we realized about a year later that his ptsd was extremely bad and we needed to do something to save our marriage. As we are the only ones; from his unit then; that are still married. We began with an ultimatum of getting help from the VA or ending our marriage; thankfully he chose his family. We got into marriage counseling and began to work on us and our family; we struggled like no other! I continued with one-on-one counseling with a VA counselor to better understand what he was going through as I felt ptsd was an excuse for everything. Eventually we started to get farm animals to lessen the burden of going to town or around many people to help alleviate his anxiety. We have four children and they decided to join 4H and start showing animals; so, we got goats. The first year I had a mother goat give birth and the baby was stuck and my husband had to help; I could see the tear in his eye. He delivered the baby 🙂 and looked at me and said, "this is the first time I have brought life into the world and not taken it out" I did not know how to reply and from then on, we realized how much therapy the animals brought him, so we began doing therapy or petting zoos. Unfortunately my father died in 2022 and I realized I needed something for me to do as my therapy and I began milking my goats and making goat milk products. I love that I get to be creative and make amazing products that truly help families; especially our military friends who pcs across the country and their kids experience dry skin or irritation problems and the products relive them. The products truly speak for themselves, and I am so blessed to be a part of that. I had the opportunity to open a store front in October; but I am only able to open weekends as I have a full-time job on base during the week.
We run a venue, community hub for all kinds of events, goat milk products, and a new living ranch collection with all naturally crafted items!
