🌊🎣 SURFSIDE BEACH FISHING REPORT – JUNE 2, 2026 🎣🌊

Good morning from Surfside Beach, Texas!

The Gulf is looking absolutely beautiful today. Calm seas, light surf, and surprisingly clean water have settled in along the beachfront and jetty. While there is still some scattered sargassum around, conditions are much improved and anglers are finding plenty of fishable water.

🐟 What’s Biting
• Speckled Trout
• Redfish
• Black Drum
• Whiting
• Pompano
• Sheepshead around the jetty rocks

🦈 Shark Report
These green-water conditions are exactly what many shark anglers wait for. Blacktips and bull sharks could be cruising close to shore, especially during the major feeding periods.

🎯 Best Baits
• Fresh Dead Shrimp
• Fishbites
• Finger Mullet
• Live Shrimp
• Cracked Crab around the jetty

☀️ Pro Tip
Focus on the first trough along the beach and the deeper water around the jetty rocks. The cleaner water moving in should improve the trout and redfish bite throughout the day.

What a difference a few days can make. Surfside is showing off this morning!

🌊🎣 Surfside Beach, TX Fishing Report – Monday, June 1st ☀️

June is kicking off with some really pretty conditions on the beach. Water at the jetty is looking cleaner and greener this morning, surf is light, and while there’s still scattered sargassum on the sand, it’s much more fishable than it has been lately.

🌤 Conditions
• Light southeast breeze
• Small surf / manageable wave action
• Water clarity: fair to good near the jetty
• Seaw**d: scattered lines along the beach, moderate in spots
• Beach access looks open and fishable

🎣 What’s Biting

🐟 Whiting – Strong bet in the first and second gut.
➡️ Fresh dead shrimp or Fishbites

🐠 Speckled Trout – Early bite around cleaner water and cuts.
➡️ Soft plastics, live shrimp, or croaker

🔴 Redfish – Watch for them cruising troughs and around the jetty rocks.
➡️ Cut mullet, crab, or paddle tails

🦷 Sheepshead – Jetty rocks continue to produce.
➡️ Live shrimp tight to structure

⚡️ Spanish Mackerel – Keep an eye for bait showers near the jetty this morning.
➡️ Silver spoons or fast retrieve jigs

🦈 Sharks & Big Reds – Evening and overnight should stay solid with this calmer surf pattern.
➡️ Stingray, mullet, bonito

🌊 HOT Tip of the Day
Cleaner green water around the jetty means predators can move in fast. If you’re on the sand, look for seams where the clearer water meets darker patches—that transition zone can light up.

☀️ Surfside is looking beautiful this morning. Great day to soak bait, work the jetty, or just enjoy a calm start to June.

🌊☀️ Good Morning from Surfside Beach, TX – June 1st! 🎣

Surfside woke up showing off this morning. Calm seas, light wave action, and cleaner green water around the jetty are making for a beautiful start to June.

✅ Current Conditions
• Light surf
• Cleaner green water at the jetty
• Scattered seaw**d along the beach but much improved
• Light breeze
• Great beach visibility

🎣 What’s Biting
• Sheepshead around the rocks and jetty structure on shrimp
• Speckled trout cruising the cleaner water early
• Whiting in the first gut on shrimp or Fishbites
• Redfish mixed along the beachfront and cuts
• Spanish mackerel possible near the jetty if bait schools show

🌅 Pro Tip:
With calmer surf like this, walk the guts and look for bait activity or slicks. Early morning can turn on fast when the water cleans up like this.

Beautiful morning to get a line wet—or just enjoy Surfside doing what Surfside does best. 💙

🌊🎣 Surfside Beach, TX Fishing Report – Sunday 5/31 🎣🌊

Good morning from Surfside! What a beautiful sunrise to kick off the day. We’ve got lighter surf this morning with decent water color and manageable seaw**d compared to earlier this week. Conditions are looking fishable up and down the beachfront, and the jetty has some clean water pushing through.

🐟 What’s Biting:
• Speckled Trout – Early morning bite around the first and second gut. Throw soft plastics, topwaters, or live shrimp under a popping cork.
• Redfish – Cruising the shoreline and cuts. Cut mullet, crab, and paddle tails are all solid bets.
• Whiting & Croaker – Plenty of action in the first gut on fresh dead shrimp. Great for families.
• Sheepshead/Black Drum – Around the jetty rocks on shrimp or fiddler crabs.
• Sharks & Rays – Still worth soaking a bigger bait if you’re staying late or fishing deeper.

🌊 Beach Conditions:
✅ Water clarity looking pretty good
✅ Surf light to moderate
✅ Seaw**d manageable this morning
✅ Gorgeous sunrise and fishable conditions

🎯 Pro Tip:
Work that early morning window while the water stays cooler and bait stays active. Around the jetty, fish the moving water lines where cleaner Gulf water meets the rocks—that’s where predators tend to stack up.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday on the sand! Drop your catches below—we’d love to see what Surfside gives up today 🎣☀️🌊

Conditions like this can make for a really nice start on the sand and around the jetty. Keep an eye out for trout and reds working the first gut early, with sheepshead and a few black drum hanging around the rocks.

🌊🎣 Surfside Beach, TX Fishing Report — Saturday, May 30

Good looking beach day overall. Surf is running around 1–2 ft, winds are light out of the SSE around 6–8 mph, and water temps are sitting in the low 80s. The seaw**d situation looks improved compared with earlier this week—still some scattered sargassum washing through, but not the thick mats we saw around Memorial Day. Water has been cleaner with a light green tint in stretches.

🎣 What’s biting:
🐟 Whiting & pompano – active in the first gut on peeled shrimp, Fishbites, and fresh dead shrimp.
🔴 Slot reds – roaming deeper guts and cuts; cut mullet and crab getting attention.
🐠 Speckled trout – early bite around cleaner water pockets and near the jetty.
⚫ Black drum – mixed in around structure and shell with shrimp.
🦈 Sharks & big rays – still cruising the beachfront after dark.

⏰ Best bite windows today:
🌅 Early morning through 8 AM
🌙 Evening into sunset

💡 HOT tip:
If you’re seeing floating w**d in one stretch, keep moving. There are cleaner lanes between patches, and that’s where bait has been stacking up. The calmer surf today makes those guts easier to read.

⚠️ And one quick reminder—rip currents can still surprise people even when the beach looks calm. Keep an eye on the flags and stay aware near the jetties.

Hope y’all stick a few today and enjoy a beautiful Surfside Saturday 🤙🎣🌊

☀️🌊 Surfside is showing off today. 🎣

Beautiful water at the jetty this morning, clean wave sets rolling in, and the beach is looking better by the hour. The seaw**d has backed off, water clarity is improving, and anglers are lining the rocks and beachfront soaking it all in.

Days like this are exactly why we love this place—salt air, sunshine, rods bent, and that view stretching for miles. Whether you’re fishing the jetty, wading the surf, or just enjoying the shoreline… it’s hard to beat Surfside on a day like today.

Tight lines and enjoy every minute out there 💙🎣🌊
