Friday morning on the farm! This was a fairly typical day’s work on the flower farm. Swipe to see what all we accomplished->
We harvested half of a 20ft bed of millet before it set seed. These will be used in our market bouquets this weekend and dried for our fall wreaths.
This zinnia bed was past its prime. We removed all the zinnias and weeds to start the bed prep process. A spring flower or winter cover crop will be planted here in the next few weeks.
So satisfying:)
This spring bed had already been cleared of sunflowers. We amended the soil, shoveled on more topsoil, strung up new netting and planted Queen Ann’s lace seeds. This will bloom sometime in April next year. Our first spring bed complete🙌🏼
