ππ§ ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WE LOVE OUR LITTLE WAGON WINDOW π§π
Our local 4-H fair has officially come to an end, and as we catch our breath and pack for our next event. We find ourselves thinking about all the little moments that make this "job" so special to us.
We wanted to share this video of one of our costumers, Benji, giving his piggy one last, final sno-cone before it headed to auction. π·π§β€οΈ
Itβs moments like this that remind us what life is all about! The 4h is about so much more than showing an animal or competing for a ribbon.
Itβs about learning responsibility, respect, compassion, patience, dedication, and good old-fashioned hard work. These kids put their hearts into caring for their animals, often forming incredible bonds with them along the way. And while saying goodbye can be one of the hardest parts, itβs also part of the lessons they are learning and the memories they will carry with them.
As the owners of Sweet Shivers Sno-Cones, we have a pretty special view of the fair. We get to stand behind our little wagon window and watch it all unfold. π§
Weβve watched thousands of kids grow up at this fair β from the little ones who could barely see over our counter, to the teenagers who are now teaching the younger kids the ropes. To the now parents, bringing there children for there first sno-cone.
Weβve watched shy kids become confident. Weβve watched how hard work pays off. Weβve watched friendships form, families grow, and kids learn lessons that will stay with them long after the fairgrounds are empty.
And sometimes, we get to witness a simple moment like this one between a kid and his piggyβ¦ and it reminds us exactly why we love what we do. β€οΈ
Thank you to all of the 4-H kids, parents, grandparents, volunteers, exhibitors, and everyone who makes our local fair so special.
And to all of our Sweet Shivers customers β thank you for stopping by our little wagon window year after year and allowing us to be a small part of your memories. π§π
Until next yearβ¦ keep working hard, keep learning, keep caring, and keep making memories. And please keep giving your piggies one last sno-coneπ·β€οΈπ§
