You all asked for it again this year but if there aren’t enough signed up to make it worth it for you all by Thursday evening we won’t move forward this year.

Boat teams- Must be competing in Florida or Louisiana waters. We’d like to see around 15 teams from both.

Kayakers- compete from Texas to N. Carolina and we’d like to see around 15 of you all too.

The rules and items needed have been online for a few months now.

Share the post and get the word out.
We only do the summer series for you all that ask for it as a fun, half day, fish your own waters competition.

We are improving! Had a pretty slow week of pre-fishing but on tournament day I caught 3 slams. And 7 keeper flounder. Biggest one at 17" . My biggest trout was 14.5" slot is 15" and my biggest red was 19" slot is 20" 😩 But i had a really fun day and that 17" founder got me 4th place! That was awesome 🙌

🌊 Not quite ready for tournament fishing to be over, but also looking to save some money on travel expenses? The Summer Series may be exactly what you’re looking for.
Down South Lures Summer Series Go Live Event-6/27/26 Florida and Louisiana division

Down South Lures Summer Series Go Live Event 7/25/26- Florida and Louisiana division

Down South Lures Summer Series Go Live Event- 8/29/26 Florida and Louisiana Division

This is a fish your own FLA waters, half-day tournament series designed to keep you competing all summer long without the long road trips. 🐟

This year we are keeping it Florida waters only. Why? Because that’s what YOU asked for. If participation doesn’t go as planned, we’ll reevaluate next year whether we continue the Summer Series or open it back up outside of Florida.

The three tournament dates are set, and just like last year, we’ll crown an Overall summer Champion for boats and kayaks based on points earned throughout the series where $20 from every summer membership will go directly into the overall championship pot for both divisions.

Had an awesome time fishing the 2nd Annual Port Ritchey Redfish Tournament. Unfortunately the bite was tough on tournament day, but the pre-fishing was good, as always 😫🤣
Thanks Tarpon Springs Fishing Club for organizing. You guys did a great job. Hope to make it to the next one. 🤙 Video is up on my YouTube channel. Florida Kayak Fishing

🔥 Fishbites 2026 Angler of the Year Race Is Heating Up! 🔥

The Fishbites Angler of the Year Points Race is officially in full effect! We are now 3 events into the 2026 season, and the race at the top is already shaping up to be a tight one. 🎣

The AOY title is determined by each angler’s best 3 events of the season plus the Championship, which means every event — and every fish — matters.

With several strong finishes already on the board, the big question is:

🏆 Who will be crowned the 2026 Fishbites Angler of the Year?

There’s still plenty of season left, and one big event or a clutch performance at the Championship could change everything.

Stay tuned as the points race continues to unfold!
