A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF AND CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS:

A few years back I was closing up one business and trying to figure out my next adventure when two of my kids became sick with cancer. I was at home and really about to go stir crazy with both of them living out of state. So, my husband asked me, if I could do one thing....what would it be. I said, anything art, Id probably do an art business p

ainting on boards if it were to all fall together. Well, with the great support of my husband, family and friends, I started up Creative Expressions DIY. No franchise... just going off of what I knew and many prayers. I had some things that were very important to me such as: Quality, We use only the finest paints with very low VOC's, water based stains, furniture grade wood that is shipped in, not purchased from two large hardware stores in our area. And I wanted everyone to be able to paint something different on different boards. Im proud to say we were the first in our area to offer this and still do. Another thing besides quality and different signs, is that I wanted customers to feel a difference with our business with hands on teaching. It's important for you to see the commitment we give each customer. With Creative Expressions, we hope to inspire and show you how easy it is to make beautiful wood signs that will end misconceptions that you can't do it. One of my favorite verses of scripture, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:19

I moved to Brevard County in 1969 and married my husband in 1985. We have 3 adult children who live throughout Florida and the Southeast. Family and my faith is everything to me. I have enjoyed working with stained glass for many years and really enjoy teaching my passion for art with vinyl, wood and paint, among other things. I enjoy creating beautiful things and helping others do the same. It brings great joy to us when people say they have found their niche, or this is now their "therapy" or even, "I never knew I could do this." At Creative Expressions, Ive always loved playing with artsy things, I love all things art. Stained glass, mosiac's, and painting. I love decorating as well.

We had a wonderful group of ladies come and paint this past weekend. It was their first time in our studio. They were celebrating two sisters birthdays born on the same day, only nine years apart. What fun it was celebrating with them and laughing too. They brought brunch foods and mimosas and their boards turned out lovely. What a fun group!
