We had such a great time meeting Eric and Joanna Johnson of Slate Falls Press
Their books are so much fun whether you are looking for beautifully illustrated children’s books or literary inspired knits!

If you missed meeting them in person during our event yesterday, we did hold back a few signed copies for everyone to get a chance to add these to your book collections.

We are excited to be welcoming Joanna Johnson, and her husband, Eric, to Wyoming Yarn & Fiber on Monday, July 20 at 10 am. They are the authors of 4 knitting storybooks, such as Phoebe's Sweater and Freddie's Blanket, along with Green Gables Knits and other literary titles.

Be sure to stop by to meet them, purchase books from them, and even get signed copies. If you aren't going to be able to join us for the event, please let Karista know books you would like and any special inscriptions you would like the authors to add. They are able to sign and personalize books (such as, "Dear Beth, Happy Birthday!" with signatures). These make great birthday gifts for grands or knitting inspiration for fiber friends.

Have had so much fun traveling through Italy and discovering a few great yarn stores along the way. Included here are the shops I found (though I’m sure there are others).
-Lellabella in Venice
-Mirko Filati in Florence
-Merceria Capuani Mariantonietta in Rome

Each one had its own unique selection of yarns and lovely owners that were happy to meet a fellow yarn store owner from the US.

I could not have done all of this without the help of my trusty employee. Venla Venla Shank has been a trooper to keep the shop running while also recovering from shoulder surgery. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to her for keeping things going while I travel!

Felted wool really is amazing for all year long! This beautiful decorative ball, needle felted by Liz M, is a perfect example of the use of wool even in the summertime.

For these decorations, Liz uses scrap yarns and dedicated needle felting to carefully make each one.
