STOP SCROLLING! Read this post please. 😁

This is the last call for input on these!! I will be running them Thursday the 18th, so if you haven't already commented or messaged me with a quantity - the time is now. I'm running them Thursday. They'll be available for pickup Thursday evening or Friday morning. You'll get a final confirmation on that with your order.

If I don't have your information by Thursday morning, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it happen for you.

Okay, hear me out. 😅
I know I said I was done taking on orders… and for the most part, I am.

But my brain does this thing in December where ideas just keep popping up, and this one felt too good not to at least put out there.

These are simple little wood ornaments — blank, unfinished — meant to be colored in by kids. Crayons, markers, paint… whatever you’ve got. Tie the string on and hang it up. That’s it.

If this feels familiar, it’s because they’re similar to the DIY paint kits I offered a few years ago — just without all the frills.
No boxed set.
No paints included.
No instruction card.

Just the ornament and a piece of string, ready for kids to make it their own.

They make really sweet gifts for:
• grandparents
• parents
• daycare providers
• teachers
• anyone who loves a kid-made keepsake

Here’s the part that helps my non-local people 👇
Shipping time is tight, so I can swap the year to 2026 instead of 2025. That way, you’re not stressing about arrival dates and you’ve already got one present done for next Christmas. (Future you will absolutely appreciate that.) I do plan to offer these again in 2026, though.

The details:
• $9 each
• Local (Cody area) pickup only if you need them before Christmas
• Shipping available if you’re okay with them arriving after

This only makes sense for me if I’ve got at least 10–15 spoken for, so right now this is just a gathering interest post.

It’s official, friends — we’ve reached the point in the season where I’m no longer taking on new orders.
Custom or personalized.
No, not even a “quick tumbler with a name.” 😉

But I do still have a few really solid, ready-to-ship pieces in the shop.

These cutting boards are already made, finished, and ready to go.
And while they aren’t personalized, that doesn’t make them any less impressive.

Photos honestly don’t do them justice — both boards feature a beautiful hand-drawn floral design that adds so much detail and character in person.

They’re the kind of gift you grab when:
• you still want it to feel thoughtful
• you want something functional (not clutter)

So if Christmas snuck up on you like a feral raccoon with a calendar 😅, these are great options — and they’re not the only ones.

Shout out to my husband — without whom these two boxes, holding 188 knives, wouldn’t be finished. They don't look like much in this picture, but there's a lot that goes into getting them to this point.

I had my workdays for this week scheduled like a well-oiled machine. Production mapped out, time blocked, orders moving.

Then life… lifed.
Henry got sick. Everything slowed down. And suddenly I was a few days behind where I wanted to be.

My husband doesn’t usually help with my work — he’s busy running his own business — but when his schedule opened up a bit, he stepped in. A couple of longer days and some extra hands were enough to get me caught back up.

Now these get shipped out on time… and I get to go back to being my normally chaotic self instead of the super-stressed version. Which may have been part of the motivation. 😉

I'll be the first one to tell you that a personalized cutting board is not for display. USE it!
And yet...while I was packing this one up I found myself thinking "It's almost too pretty to use." 😂

Seriously, the camera does NOT do this walnut butcher block justice. It’s rich, silky, velvet-y wood heaven. And that's not even the engraving...that I can't show you. Because Christmas.

That’s the magic of a good board:
It’s not just pretty...it’s made to live in a kitchen, to earn knife marks, to soak up memories, to become part of the home.

(And just to say it: you use the back side. The engraved side is for the pretty moments.
That way your board stays gorgeous and gets used the way it should.)

Sand Shooters has had a wave of new faces lately, so here’s the quick version of who I am — and who I’m absolutely not.

WHO I AM
