My mother likes to tell me that I have surrounded myself with books and clothing since before I could walk, and apparently some things do never change. The Earnest Owl, a re-selling venture, began as a passion project in September 2013, in the upstairs library of my cottage in the Hudson Valley. I was an educator by day, and a treasure hunter and online seller by night, specializing in apparel and accessories, books, and well-designed home wares. Two moves and two children later, we have grown to offer a wide-range of quality secondhand goods, including children’s items, from our lovely coastal New England town.
