The world on the outside keeps running its race.
Demanding high volume and a fast moving pace.
So come on in, step inside,
Be greeted with a smile.
Where the weight of the day drops off at the door
And the noise fades away on this old wooden floor
She naps by the entryway, keeping good guard.
Old Millie May knows that working isn't too hard.
See the relics, let the clutter settle in.
And greet the bargains with a half crooked grin.
This place is raw. It's unvarnished and it's pulled straight from my heart.
Where the mess and the meaning of this place aren't that far apart.
No fake smiles, no playing a role,
Just a piece of my mind and a piece of my soul.
A life I've dedicated myself, step by step, day by day
Holding on to the things others threw away
So come on by, pick through the pile
Where the architecture speaks, it’s an art of its own,
Carved out of history, weathered and grown.
Grab a piece of history and stay a little while
Find a hidden gem or buy something for a dollar
If you need any help just give me a quick holler
You don’t have to buy, you can just come on in,
There's always a spot for a neighbor or friend.
Stop in for a chat, share a story or two,
We are always waiting to welcome you.
And if money is tight or the pockets run bare,
Don't you worry a second, just ask, and we're there.
No one leaves empty-handed when hard times align.
I’m here for the people, not just for the sign.
My blood's in the boards and my time's on the clock
I've built something real right here on this block.
There’s order in chaos, if only a trace
Just a man and his dog in this beautiful place.
