Based in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, I create one-of-a-kind handbags and accessories using a combination of commercial and independent designer patterns. I've always loved mixing patterns, colors, and textures. Row in Philadelphia, local quilting and thrift shops, the occasional trip to the Garment District in NYC, and my own personal stash all contribute to the uniqueness of each The Creative Thread by JP creation. One of my other loves is travel so the bags in the main collection are each named for a world city. The name defines the shape/style of bag; the combination of fabrics and trims on each bag is unique and different. Bags in the bridal collection are named for flowers. All work is done in my home studio which is a smoke-free/pet-free environment.
