Have you heard of the term heavy work? These are activities that help establish balance and spatial awareness.

So things like:
💡climbing on your PlayWilder triangle (or any climbing structure)
💡rocking (maybe in the arch)
💡carrying, pushing or pulling something heavy (like a bag of groceries from the car or basket of books)
💡throwing a toy for the dog
💡helping with tasks around the house

All of these things help improve balance and strengthen our sense of proprioception! What are your favorite “heavy work” activities??
