We had the best time with y'all at the pop-up shop and banned books read-in yesterday! Thank you so much for coming out to support our small business. It's always a joy to see all the folks from Colorado Springs Silent Book Club! And, huge thanks to Odds & Ends Emporium for hosting us! Happy biz birthday, friends! π If you haven't been to Odds & Ends, go check them out - it's a whole store full of dopamine.

2. ATTEND your local library board meetings. If you're here in Colorado Springs with us, you should know that the PPLD Board of Trustees has adopted a policy of "neutrality" and removed diverse programming/displays like Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Pride Month, Banned Books Week, etc. Their next meeting is scheduled at PPLD 21C on 10/21/26, 5pm. This is subject to change, check their site for updates.
3. REPORT instances of book censorship to the American Library Association (link in our bio). They don't always see local news like the article pictured. Reporting which books are challenged/banned helps the ALA to track patterns in censorship attempts and provide supportive resources for librarians and other professionals. Attend school board meetings, and give public comments. If you need help with this, check the link in our bio. "Get Involved - ALA" has so
