When I first put on this mid-layer from Black Diamond, I felt it was different. It’s both smoothly lightweight and nicely insulating at the same time.

If we remember what cooler temps feel like, layering with this jacket, will be totally comfortable.

While I haven’t had the chance to try it out on the rock, its pewter color will coax out my most precise goat-antelope footwork, I am sure.

Look for us out on the crag.

And stop by the shop to check out the new Diverge FZ Hoody (in goat-antelope pewter for ladies).

Together, we chose to pursue a new passion
This time of learning designed in an intentional fashion.

In Elevenmile Canyon, we convened a special group -
Of women only (for now, men were out of the loop).

At the base of a crag, we did gather
to attach ourselves to the end of a tether.

Our purpose - to scale a rock wall.
With a high step or crimp quite small.

Casting aside any fears,
we practiced our smears.

For two days, we were out in the sun
Despite some rain drops, it was fantastically fun.

Overflowing expertise and unflinching support was the way.
And for one another, well...we’ve got you on belay!

Mountain Chalet started our Women's Only clinics with in 2025. We are truly grateful for their partnership!

Keep in touch with Mountain Chalet -- on our social or via our newsletter -- for more upcoming clinics: ice climbing in January, BackCountry Skiing in March, Alpine Climbing in Spring and then Rock Climbing again next Summer!
