This week Image continues the wild trip that is Odin, while Marvel has Doom leaping across the Marvel U as the Punisher and Deadpol continue their team-up. DC has a compelling year one for the Boy Wonder and Firestorm is still trying to find himself. Loads to get to as we’ve got five stacked high ready to fly.
#36> END OF STORY ARC
THE NEW SUPERION DEBUTS!
That’s right! In a move no one could have predicted, Thundercracker takes his place among the Aerialbots! They assemble just in time to... wait… what’s that sound? Could it be?
COBRA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!
(S) Robert Kirkman (A) Mike Spicer, Jason Howard
Smurfs Take> Another surprise for the fans as Thundercracker joins to become part of Superion. I didn’t think they could do that, just rando merging like that but here we are. Not to cause any concern but we saw what happened to Slingshot, I’d be a little worried while adding a little crossover and we are talking chaos on a whole new level.
#1> JACK OF HEARTS, NOVA, STAR-LORD AND...BULLSEYE!? THANOS has hired BULLSEYE to pull the trigger... and this time, the shot could end everything! As the DEADLIEST ASSASSIN IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE hunts his target through New York City, STAR-LORD, NOVA and JACK OF HEARTS clash with Bullseye in a brutal, zero-room-for-error fight against the inevitable. Don't miss one of the most intense superhuman battles in Marvel history by best-selling DAREDEVIL writer, STEPHANIE PHILLIPS, and rising star artist of STAR WARS: SHADOW OF MAUL, MADIBEK MUSABEKOV.
(S) Stephanie Phillips (A) Mabibek Musabekov
Smurfs Take> I just love the whole idea behind this story. A creative blend of characters with a way outside of the box approach that is destined to share the top with the likes of Punisher Kills the Marvel universe. A must for every enthusiasts collection.
: Inferno #5> Daniel Durante thought that he was above the laws of Heaven and Hell. That he could come to this awful place and, as he'd done all his life, take from it what he wanted. Daniel Durante was wrong.
Christian Ward and Rob Carey conclude the most satisfying tale of a greedy man getting exactly what he wished for!
(S) Chritian Ward (A) Robert Carey
Smurfs Take> One of the most terrifying titles of the week if not currently running stories. This is dark, malicious, and unforgivingly brutal…it’s amazing. This story has gone in a direction I didn’t expect and exceed any expectation I had going in. I mean, I was already a fan but damn this has just reaffirmed my stance and I can’t get enough.
#1> BOBA FETT HOLDS COURT AND FACES NEW CHALLENGES ON TATOOINE!
After escaping from the Sarlacc Pit, Boba Fett has taken over Jabba the Hutt’s syndicate — but does he have what it takes to keep Tatooine in order?
(S) Rodney Barnes (A) Will Sliney
Smurfs Take> The return of Boba Fett! One of the most anticipated events in movie history and just how he survived the Sarlacc Pit. My inner child was overflowing with excitement just to see him in action again and a whole new crew of characters. Glad they made the decision to put it in comic format!
#5> Another attack makes Barbara question everything she thought she knew about the murders inside Supermax, and a new political prisoner finds herself trapped in the center of the mystery.
(S) Mariko Tamaki (A) Amancay Nahuelpan
Smurfs Take> I’ve enjoyed the new direction for Barbara and taking this story to a complex level that moves it past the typical hero behind bars. Well worth the pickup!

77 #1> MINISERIES PREMIERE
In 1977, a young artist had his first ideas for a character he would name Spawn. That man was TODD McFARLANE. Now, 49 years later, Spawn is an international sensation that has spawned (pun intended) a movie, toys, games, and an animated series. It has been translated into over a dozen languages with fans across the globe.
Now, in collaboration with acclaimed artist MARK SPEARS, TODD McFARLANE brings a vision of his original idea to the Spawn Universe. A completely new and exciting take on the fan-favorite character. Covers from MARK SPEARS, TODD McFARLANE, EMMA RIOS, SHAWN CRYSTAL, and more. A wickedly different version of Spawn starts here.
(S) Mark Spears, Todd McFarland (A) Mark Spears
Smurfs Take> Todd gives a wild new looking Spawn as we go back to the days of disco. Should be a fun limited series as Spawn gets a new suit and it’s always cool to see a new Spawn come into the universe.
