First time buyer? Continue reading to answer questions you may have regarding what you need to make a purchase!
1) Have a valid California Driver's License or ID Card
2) Obtain a Firearm Safety Certificate. Administered in the store, take a 30 question test to obtain the safety card. This card will allow you to purchase hand guns or long guns for five years. Here is a link to the study guide:https://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/agweb/pdfs/firearms/forms/hscsg.pdf
3) Make your purchase! The team at Blue Collar will help you make an informed selection. It can be an overwhelming process, and the goal is to make the process smooth, educational and fun! A minimum of 25% down + $30 for the DROS fee will get the process started. The balance must be paid in full at the time of pick up. Here are common legal questions:
Q- How old do I have to be to buy a gun? A- 18 for a long gun, 21 for a hand gun. Q- What crimes would prevent me from buying a gun? A- In a nutshell, any felony, a misdemeanor involving domestic violence, and a dishonorable discharge for any reason.
