Join us tomorrow, September 12th at 3pm for an afternoon with author Mary Winn Heider to celebrate her new book, 'Don’t Cross Mo Ellery'. ✋🛑

Birdie Horne is the combined pen name of Mary Winn and her former enemy Eden Robins. Over the years, they have been love rivals, co-godmothers, and neighbors across an alley in Chicago. Separately, they have published over twenty books, and together they have a resume full of the kinds of jobs that genuinely worry their parents. One of them was nominated for—and lost—Chicago Crossing Guard of the Year. Don’t Cross Mo Ellery is their first outing as Birdie Horne.

About the book:
A laugh-out-loud mystery following the indomitable hot mess Mo Ellery, whose job as a school crossing guard pulls her into an unhinged murder investigation.

We’re honored to join Daniel Rickenmann on the latest episode of the Around Town podcast.

From our earliest conversations about bringing an independent bookstore back to Columbia to becoming one of South Carolina’s few Certified B Corporations, it’s been an incredible journey.

This conversation is about more than books. It’s about creating a place where people can gather, discover new ideas, support local authors, and build community together.

Thank you, Columbia, for making All Good Books possible.
