It’s National Scaffolders Week, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate the people who make Associated Scaffolding great.

Behind every scaffold we design, deliver, erect, and dismantle is a team of hardworking people who take pride in doing the job right. From the warehouse and yard to the jobsite, our scaffolders bring experience, problem solving, teamwork, and a commitment to safety to every project.

Scaffolding is more than putting pieces together. It’s about finding the right solution, adapting to the job in front of you, and making sure our customers have safe, reliable access when and where they need it.

To our ASC scaffolders, thank you for the early mornings, long days, hard work, and expertise you bring to the job every day. We’re proud to have you as part of the Associated Scaffolding team.

Happy National Scaffolders Week!

Taking it back to 2016 Asheville, NC, where Associated Scaffolding helped support the construction of the AC Hotel in downtown Asheville.

As the city continued to grow as a popular destination for visitors, the demand for additional accommodations was growing, too. During construction, our team provided systems scaffolding to create temporary access to the building’s façade, helping multiple contractors safely and efficiently complete their work.

The scaffold supported a variety of exterior work, including window installation, waterproofing, and EIFS applications.

A look back at one of the projects that helped shape Asheville’s ever-changing downtown!

Scaffolding isn’t just about reaching heights safely—it can also provide access solutions when the terrain makes traditional methods a challenge.

This project at Wake Forest University is a great example. Our team partnered with Brasfield & Gorrie and Excel Electric to provide a practical and efficient solution for installing lighting beneath a pedestrian bridge. The challenge? The bridge spans a creek surrounded by loose riprap, making access to the underside anything but straightforward.

To meet the challenge, our team erected, rented, and dismantled a 5' wide × 45' long system scaffold tower beneath the bridge. The scaffold utilized 21' trusses to safely span the creek and was equipped with guardrails, toe boards, a clamp-on ladder, and a swing gate for safe and convenient access.

Unique job site? We’ll help find the access solution.

For more than 40 years, Edgemont Tower has been a fixture in the Bristol, TN, community. But after decades of serving its residents, the 10-story apartment building was ready for some much-needed renovations—including work to balconies, stairwells, and individual units.

With multiple crews working throughout the occupied building, there was one important question: How do you safely and efficiently get construction debris from the upper floors to the ground?

Associated Scaffolding provided the solution with a 99.5ft temporary debris chute supported by systems scaffolding. The 5' wide chute was accessible from each floor, allowing crews to easily remove debris while a dumpster collected materials at ground level. A top deck provided roof-level access, while handrails, toeboards, and dust gaiters helped keep the setup safe and minimize dust around the occupied building.

The result was a streamlined debris removal system that helped keep renovations moving while minimizing disruption for the residents who call Edgemont Tower home.

From complex high-rise projects to everyday renovations, we're here to help you find the right access and debris removal solution for the job. Visit our website or give us a call for more information.

Today, the Kinston Hotel Apartments are a senior living community, but they're also a piece of North Carolina history. Originally built in 1928 as the Kinston Hotel, this 11-story Art Deco landmark has served generations of residents and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1989.

When it came time for roof restoration, our team faced a unique challenge: provide safe access to the top of the building while preserving its historic character and minimizing disruptions for the residents who call it home.

Using our fully customizable systems scaffolding, we designed and installed a scaffold that reached the roof while maintaining clear access to the building's entrances. By carefully spacing platforms and structural components, we also preserved natural light and unobstructed views for residents throughout the project.

Every project has its own challenges, and we're proud to deliver solutions that prioritize safety, precision, and the people who rely on them.
