The Peace Nook Non-profit community resource center and store. The Peace Nook is a non-profit, volunteer-based community resource center operated by Peaceworks.

The Nook is an information and social change activism referral center. It is also a storefront offering books, fair trade imports, natural foods, environmental products, posters, jewelry, T-shirts, cards and much, much more! The products we sell further our mission of creating a more peaceful, just and sustainable future for all. For a more complete list of the brands and products we carry, check

out the pages we "like," or just come visit us. All proceeds from the Peace Nook support the educational work of Mid-Missouri Peaceworks. As an educational non-profit, we charge no tax.

2025 is on its way out! That means you have until 7pm to get in on our end of year book sale! All books, journals and tarot decks are 20% off on this final day of the year. Our calendars and date books are also on sale for 15% off! Come on in and use that gift certificate (or buy one for a friend!). We will be closed tomorrow and Friday for inventory. If you would like to help us count everything in the store, please come in tomorrow between 10 and 5 and we will appreciate your help. Those wanting to help should come in through the back door on Alley A. We will have snacks and friendly faces!
