More… Than Just A Garden Center. As spring begins and continuing throughout the summer, a great selection
of blooming annuals and perennials, along with ornamental grasses, aquatic plants

and features, shrubs, shade and ornamental assorted trees are displayed at the garden center. We also offer landscape installations, including annual trimming and mulch freshening. Truck loads of pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, along with thousands of mums that we have grown, fill the garden center during the fall. We also bring in delicious, sweet, fresh fall apples in September and October. Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the Holiday Season and you will find us buzzing about, hand making wreaths, garlands and roping from fresh greenery. The smell of fresh Christmas trees fills the air at Fernwood as both live balled and cut trees are displayed. Choose the perfect poinsettias to create your holiday statement in your home or office. Does your church or civic group need greenery or poinsettias for the season? Looking for gift ideas or great houseplants? Our designers create unique arrangements for all occasions, special events or any season. Offering delivery to nearby offices, homes, hospital or nursing facilities and area funeral homes is another way we serve you. Throughout the year we sponsor various fundraising opportunities for groups such as scout troops, athletic, social or school clubs, and school bands. If your school, group or association is looking for fundraising ideas we would love to discuss those with you. Needing landscaping ideas or installation? We offer landscaping plans and installations, maintenance trimming or simply freshening up around your home.

On this day, our nation remembers one of the most tragic moments in recent American history—a day that forever changed countless lives, not only across our country, but around the world.

Today, please pause to remember the innocent lives lost, the families who were forever changed, and the heroes who stepped forward—many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice, while others continue to carry the memories and scars of that day.

May we honor them not only with remembrance, but with gratitude, compassion, and a commitment to stand together.

New stock arriving multiple times a week at this time of the year here at Fernwood makes things exciting!

4 different varieties of Heliopsis came in yesterday and they are BEAUTIFUL. Hardy as a perennial from zones 3-8. pollinators love them, and all round cheerful as the sunshine, these plants are great for not only your garden, but the shorter heights work well in combination planters too!

Stop on in to check out these beauties as well as all the other new plants that just arrived. To help with that, here's your reminder that we will be open on Labor Day from 8am til noon.

Looking for fun, pumpkins, and mums all in one spot?

FALL FUN AT FERNWOOD is fast approching and we want to make sure everyone knows! With a huge selection of our very own homegrown mums, a vast selection of pumpkins, fall decor, and cratfts and activities that will be fun for the whole family, all wrapped up in one place.

Our Festival is free to attend, and enjoy whether its the 'craft of the day', our scavenger hunt, face painting, games, coloring station, sensory bins, chalk art and so much more.
