Week 1 – Welcome to the Creation Station – Afterschool Art Lab
There is no "right way" to create. Friends are introduced to and explore a variety of exciting art materials, tools, and discover that creativity begins with curiosity—not perfection.

Week 2 – Color Explorers - Discover the Magic of Color

Children experiment with mixing colors, painting techniques, and creative tools while learning that every discovery starts with experimentation.

Week 3 – Texture Detectives -Everything has texture!

Children discover texture through natural materials, recycled objects, and unexpected tools while learning to observe details in the world around them.

Week 4 – Recycled Creations - Ordinary objects can become extraordinary.

Using recycled and everyday materials, children design and build original creations while developing planning, engineering, and problem-solving skills.

Week 5 – Nature Makers - Nature is full of Inspiration

Children use leaves, flowers, sticks, stones, and other natural materials to create artwork while learning to appreciate the beauty and patterns found outdoors.

Week 6 – Creator's Showcase - Celebrate Creativity

Children choose their favorite materials and techniques from previous weeks to design an original project that reflects their own ideas and personality. Families are invited to attend a special gallery celebration where children proudly share their artwork and creative journey.

I was finishing up the storeroom today. I found the original puppy cart for the store. He has always been a favorite. So, I put it on the floor to see what would happen. I had my back turned but heard the jingle of the bell that told me someone had found the doggie cart.

Make sure you stop by before school starts! 🐸❤

Some of our friends have been looking at the puppy wagon preeeeetty hard...well my friends it is back in stock...but hurry there's only 2.

Wow! Last week was crazy, but I feel accomplished. The Stockroom is 85% sorted. Facebook Marketplace has kept me hoppin. Prince Jeremiah has found a new home..and I need to make more slime. I feel like I've made progress. Next week my focus is on finishing up the backroom and resetting for the Afterschool Art Lab. Storybook Workshop will also be receiving more of my attention this week! Just to be clear for my Afterschool Art Lab and Storybook Workshop friends...we are still a go! Afterschool Art Lab will meet at Speckled Frog Toys & Books until August 31st. We have a couple of options after that. Same for Storybook Workshop, we have a couple of options for location. Our community is pretty cool that way. 🐸❤
