BookDrive Books

BookDrive Books Mobile indie bookstore in Columbia, Missouri, serving Boone County. Featured in Vox Magazine, COMO Business Times and Inside Columbia. Books move people.

We move books. I’ve always wanted to build something of my own, something that reflects who I am. My father built a successful bar, and my grandfather built a successful restaurant. They both worked hard to create something from nothing, and I’ve always admired that. For years I wasn’t sure what my path would be. Then I realized it had been with me all along. Books have always been my escape and m

y guide. Ever since high school English class, I’ve been drawn to the power of words. Stories have a way of making you see the world differently, of reminding you what really matters. I’ve also always loved driving. There’s peace in the rhythm of the road, time to think and reflect. When I was a kid, one of my favorite memories was when the Bookmobile came to school. Stepping inside felt like stepping into a whole new world. BookDrive is my way of bringing that feeling back. It’s about creating something that connects people to stories and to each other. It’s about curiosity, growth, and the simple joy of discovering something new. I don’t know exactly what BookDrive will become, but I know what it means to me. It’s hope, movement, and purpose all rolled into one. It’s the start of something that feels real.

I came across these gorgeous collector editions while sourcing books for future BookDrive pop ups.

They’re Easton Press editions from their 100 Greatest Books Ever Written series, and they’re every bit as beautiful in person as you’d imagine.

There were about 20 different titles available, but these were the ones I couldn’t leave behind:

📚 The Brothers Karamazov
📚 Crime and Punishment
📚 Moby-Dick
📚 Wuthering Heights
📚 Tales of Mystery and Imagination
📚 The Three Musketeers
📚 Jane Eyre
📚 The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Part of the joy of running BookDrive is discovering books I know readers will fall in love with. Finding a collection like this is why I spend so many evenings and weekends searching for books worth sharing.

If you’d like to see them in person, I’ll have them at my next two pop ups:

📍 August 7 - Serendipity Polish Pottery & Gallery for First Friday, 6:00–9:00 PM

📍 August 8 - Rose Music Hall for the CoMo Grown Up Book Fair, a ticketed event that’s well worth attending if you love books and reading.

Hope to see you there.
