A labor of love 🩵 for an art call with and . So grateful for this opportunity!

It all started with a tour of the Camellia garden at our local botanical gardens after a harsh cold snap here in Georgia ( temps in the teens!). I was afraid that I may have missed the beautiful blooms they posted on social media a few days before but to my surprise there were many that were still blooming tall!

As I walked along the garden, it reminded me that even when harsh seasons of life come your way the beauty of what God put inside of us will still bloom tall!

My Camellia Garden Collection is made up of hand drawn, digitally painted, micro, vintage camellias and botanicals that add a beautiful texture to your walls. Little blue and teal florals that will look sweet in a nursery or powder bath. It will also look elegant and timeless in any living space.

I did it! I submitted my first design to .coil Limited Edition Design Contest. I would love to see this design on their amazing planners!

I enjoyed painting and designing my interpretation of the changing of seasons with evergreen ferns and those that turn golden as it gets cooler. Which I am looking forward to here in Georgia!

I’m so excited for my Made New series of butterflies to find a new home tomorrow at our Unite Women’s Conference at in Columbus, GA!

This is a special series I made exclusively for the conference to represent our transformation when we give our lives to Christ. I’m also excited to share what God has placed on my heart for all the women who are attending this weekend, September 12th and 13th.

Life changes, such as turning 50 or becoming an empty nester, can put you in a state of sadness or depression if you let it. Although I miss my children being around all the time and can’t believe how fast time is flying by, I’m choosing to embrace those life changes with a new found hope!

My husband and I’s first trip as empty nesters was to Portugal last fall. It sparked so much inspiration in me. I couldn’t get enough of the Azuleo tiles, the colors that surrounded us everywhere, and the food!

It was the inspiration for my wallpaper collection, AzuIeo Dreams, created for an art call hosted by our awesome mentor .johnsondesign with wallpaper company.

My Thoughts on Portugal…

Last October, my husband took me on a trip to Portugal to celebrate my 50th Birthday and our new lives as empty nesters! I fell in love with the country and the people!

Inspiration was all around and I made sure to capture as much as I could. From the blue tiled buildings and intricate details of its ancient castles and cities, I learned to appreciate vibrant colors again. Every street we walked on was aligned with blues, pinks, yellows, and greens. In a word, JOY is what I felt!

For the past few months I have had visions of a collection in my head and I think I finally have the courage to get it out!
