Have you seen “Seaspiracy” on Netflix yet? It’s a great documentary that really reveals the truth about what’s going on in the ocean with the fishing industry. It’s a must watch for all who love the ocean!

Happy Earth Day! We have this special day to celebrate our beautiful planet. What would we do without our Earth? Nothing. We wouldn’t be able to do anything. We should appreciate our planet more. So no matter if it’s August 10th, January 7th, of June 24, we should celebrate everyday like it’s Earth Day.

Why do I love the ocean so much? Why out of all the animals I could have chosen to support, I chose Whale Sharks?

Today, I will answer those questions, it all started many years ago, when I was just a small child. When I was younger, I loved the ocean, not as much as I live it now though. When I was 7 or 8, I lived mermaids with all my heart, I would always watch those mermaid spell videos on YouTube (which btw, don’t work) and you couldn’t tell me they weren’t real. I wished back then that I was a mermaid, and sometimes I still do! I always preferred going to an aquarium much more than a zoo. I also hated winter for one reason, I couldn’t swim or go to the beach. Now, fast-forward, I had always loved science. When I was younger, I wanted to be an astronaut , then an astronaut AND a marine biologist, then just a marine biologist, because personally, I’m kind of scared of going into space. Anyways, I’ve always loved the ocean, but not as much as I love it now.

I hated it when people would always say “Back then , after we ate, we had to do the dishes” or “back then after this..” I hated that children were always supposed to be silent and just go back to doing whatever kids were supposed to do. Maybe I’m still growing, maybe I’m still in school, but I had a voice, and I wanted people to listen. That is why I created Whale Shark Warriors.

Almost forgot! Why do I love Whale Sharks? It’s because I feel a personal connection to them. Ever since seeing them at the Georgia Aquarium, I adored them. I felt like they were the closest animal to my personality. No, I may not have polka dots, or be the size of a school bus, but Whale Sharks are mysterious, peaceful, and misconceived at first glance.

In conclusion, I just feel like we need to know more about the ocean and protect it. Maybe now that you know more about me, you will help Whale Shark Warriors out by a donation or a purchase.
