So my sister out of town… calls me like “you gotta take your niece to cheerleading orientation.”

I’m sitting there like… why me?? I don’t even have little girls 😭

BUT when I got there and they started talking about the popcorn fundraiser, blanket fundraiser, Gatorade… and how much everything costs… I was SHOOK.

It’s 15 girls at East High School and they’re expected to raise $1,000 EACH.

At first I’m like that’s CRAZY… but after talking to other families, that’s actually normal for cheer 😳

And it just had me thinking… we really in a time where people can barely afford gas and food… let alone making sure their kids can stay in positive activities.

So instead of just thinking about my niece… I’m thinking about ALL 15 girls.

The goal is $15,000 in 3 days 🙏🏾

December 19, 2025

Five years ago, I stepped out on faith and opened a small plant shop in Richmond, Virginia. What I didn’t know then was how deeply the community would pour into me and my family. The love, the support, the consistency—it carried us the entire time we were there. Truly full circle.

When I moved back to Columbus and opened another Coles Plants, it felt like joy all over again. I love setting up the store. I love ordering plants. I love creating a space where I can play the music I love, talk to people freely, and build something that feels like me.

But let’s be real—small business is a different kind of monster. You only understand if you have one. Juggling a full-time job, chasing a dream, and keeping the doors open isn’t for the faint of heart. And honestly, 2025 has been exhausting—mentally and physically.

I heard something recently that stuck with me:
“God, thank you for always making it just enough… just enough.”

So thank you—to every customer who has supported us, shopped with us, shared our posts, told a friend, and believed in Coles Plants along the way. And thank you to the ones still to come. 🤍
