You think you love him now?
Wait until you create a baby with him.

There is nothing more powerful than watching the love you share turn into a living, breathing human.

It changes everything.
The way you look at him.
The way you protect each other.
The way love suddenly feels deeper, steadier, and sacred.

Because love isn’t just something you feel anymore…
It’s someone you get to hold.

I don’t breastfeed because I think I’m better than anyone else.

I breastfeed because it’s what works for my baby and me.
Because it’s what I wanted.
Because it feels right for our journey.

So when I talk about it…
When I share it…
When I say I’m proud…

It’s never to diminish another mother’s story.
It’s never to judge.
It’s never to compare.

It’s simply to honor ours.

Every choice is valid.
Every feeding journey is personal.
Every mom deserves to be proud of how she shows up for her baby.

This is our story.

Dear labor and delivery nurse,

I’ll never forget you.

You weren’t just doing your job…
You were holding my hand through one of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of my life.

You wiped my tears.
You spoke calmly when I was scared.
You cheered me on when I wanted to give up.
You advocated for me when I couldn’t find the words.

You saw me at my strongest and my weakest.
And treated both with grace.

You’re a part of my birth story forever.
And even though you may not remember my face… I’ll never forget yours.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

Nothing prepares you for the moment you meet your baby for the first time.

Not the kicks.
Not the ultrasounds.
Not even the hours (or days) of labor.

And then suddenly… they’re here.
And everything changes.

You realize what love at first sight really means.
You memorize every inch of their face.
You cry in a way you didn’t know you could.

Because that tiny human just made you a mother.
And no matter how messy or beautiful or chaotic that moment was…
It will be etched into your soul forever. 🤍

I will protect my kids.

Even if it means protecting them from people who share their last name.
Even if it makes family gatherings uncomfortable.
Even if it means I’m labeled “too much” or “overprotective.”

Because their safety and their well-being?
That comes before anyone’s ego.
Before tradition.
Before keeping the peace.

I won’t let guilt, expectations, or old dynamics get in the way of being the mom my kids deserve.

Blood doesn’t give anyone the right to disrespect boundaries.

And being family doesn’t grant access to my children if they can’t show up in love, safety, and respect.

To the everyday mother…

The one who gets up before the sun to make breakfast, pack lunches and warm bottles.
The one who kisses scrapes, wipes tears, and repeats herself a hundred times a day.
The one who loves fiercely, even when she feels like she’s running on empty.

Today is for you.

Not just for the picture perfect moments, but for the quiet sacrifices no one sees.
For the bedtime snuggles, the emotional load, the late night Google searches, and the “I love yous” whispered in the dark.

You are raising good humans.
You are shaping hearts.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women doing the most important job in the world—one messy, beautiful day at a time.

We see you. We celebrate you. We’re with you.

Respecting parenting boundaries isn’t about agreeing with them.

As a mother, I make choices with love, intention, and a deep knowing of my child.
I set boundaries because I care. Because I’ve thought them through. Because I’m protecting something sacred.

You don’t have to fully understand why I say “no,”
why we skip certain things,
why I ask for space,
or why we do things a little differently.

But I do ask that you respect it.
Because boundaries are not a rejection,
they’re a form of care.

Motherhood comes with enough second-guessing.
What we need more of is support without strings.
