Mary Catherine’s Antiques is offering a beautifully restored antique work bench on eBay this week. Check it out!

I believe the piece is solid cherry or maple stained cherry. Very unusual: two drawers instead of one. Only imperfection in the bench are two screws in the back of one drawer installed as a drawer stop, as pictured in the photos.

Selling on eBay this week! First editions of U.S. Grant’s Memoirs from 1885,1886. Other Civil War related books also selling. Please check out seller marycatherinesantiques!

The photos give a good indication of condition and wear. There Is age yellowing in both books but very little foxing. The books are in fair condition. I do not know anymore about it other than what you can read.

We haven’t posted anything for sale for awhile, but will be offering some interesting items this week!
This is a most unusual Gilbert Clock Company shelf clock-circa 1880, over-sized walnut case at 20” high and 14” wide, original stenciling on the glass door, with a beautiful brass pendulum for adjusting time or strike. It tick tocks, and has a nice sounding strike, but does not run. I cannot wind it so it probably needs a cleaning or possibly new springs but the case alone is a work of art. $175.00 as is.
