Important Notice
Recently, MTN and Orange ( telecom services) have changed their data bundle options. Before, we used to have options like 1GB for 500 FCFA, 2.5GB for 1000 FCFA, and some people even got 3.2GB for 1000 FCFA. But now, MTN and Orange have dropped their options. Now it's like 850MB for 500 FCFA, 1.8GB for some people, and even less than that for 1000 FCFA. So the options have changed drastically.

I believe the reason for this is that MTN and Orange want people to pay more attention to their systems. They want a certain level of traffic – like normal activations. But because of the good deals, people no longer pay attention to activating their services properly since it is an easy method to just go to a call box and do your normal activations. You get it?

Another reason I believe these changes are happening is that MTN wants to stop the issue of people borrowing a lot. A lot of people have borrowed up to 5000, 10,000 FCFA from their credit accounts and don't even want to pay it back. And that's because they know they can always come and get a good deal – which is direct activations into their phones.

NEW SCAM MOMO ALERT

Please let's he careful this man has been scamming agents. He will come and give you that paper plus money for you to send money to those numbers at times is just one number. When u are done he will ask u to give him back the paper when u do he will exchange it and then claim you made a mistake. You will be feeling it's your fault and refund his money. When you call mtn to block they will tell u the money has been withdrawn.

Many have lost their capital because they wanted to make extra commission without paying attention to the potential risk involved in that decision. Someone tells you to follow them to a place and do a huge transcation of millions, and you did without considering the risk.
Your life and capital are at risk. Nothing or no one should make you leave your kiosk . I've been in this business for more than 8 years to know that too much wanted will make you lose all.
Don't rush things because of extra commission. For you might succeed sometimes, but just like the saying 99 days for a thief and one day for the owner... that day might just be your day to lose it all. .
It's not worth it.

Please, if you've never worked as a mobile money agent before, avoid opening a kiosk by the roadside. Begin working from home first so as to enable you learn a few things. But if you must start your business by the roadside, then make sure you're well informed of all possible methods of scams by these scamers. I tell you their methods of scama are new every morning. Don't put your capital at risk. ohhh,
Losing some cash to learn from others is not much compared to how much you might be scammed out of ignorance.

Get someone with a lot of experience if possible. Work with them for about a week, so you are well versed with the system.

MOMO AGENTS- CAMEROON

Please, dear MOMO agents, NEVER give your agent phone to customers to input numbers worse of all to make calls.
An agent almost lost 2 MILLION yesterday in muea for that, infact the 2M was taken from her phone, but due to rapid intervention by the office, the money was recovered.
This scammer was given a phone to input his number but instead went to inbox to inform his colleagues of the code that was sent to this phone without the call boxer knowing. This guy was continually communicating with his partner until they successfully withdrew every money in this callboxers account. She was able to call MTN OFFICE ASAP and recovered her cash.

Please, be careful.... NO ONE IS A BOSS IN THIS MOMO BUSINESS. You can be emptied of all your capital before you realize it.

Please, if you are a Momo user, don't be offended when you're asked to give money first before service. E get why.
some people will throw "bad mouth" saying... Do i look like a thief . Wait, oh, is it written on faces to begin with???

Money first, then comes your transaction.... is very normal. Train yourself to accept it .

Dear MoMo agents, why should you do a transaction (cash in) without collecting your money first???? Even if it's 500frs ... I hope you know how difficult it is to work 500frs in this business.
