When a mom reached out asking if I could make a Tshirt Pillow instead of a whole Tshirt Quilt, I let her know she was in good hands. She brought the shirts over and we chatted about which were the most important and I took it from there. She and I love the result and think it will be a nice addition to her senior’s dorm room in the fall.

This tiny baby turned 4 today! As a typical fourth child, I failed to make him a baby quilt before he was born or any time since his arrival. But I did save some of his cutest outfits and finally made them into a quilt for him. On the other side I hand stitched a little town with roads for him to play cars since that is his life’s passion. I almost like this more than the quilts I made for the girls since it really reflects his interests and incorporates those little outfits from when he was tiny (every outfit from the photos of him made it into the quilt).

My latest way to upcycle fabric scraps: dog tug-a-war toys! This is such a fun and easy way to use the parts of shirts that don’t get sewn into a quilt. I just recently went to a pet store and rope toys are so expensive! I made a ton of these and will be dropping a bunch off to Woof’s Boutique (an extension of Ruth’s Boutique at Girard First United Methodist) for doggies in need.
