Tea gathering this morning at 9am. Held behind COSI which is a beautiful location overseeing the city with plenty of space.
Got to drink some pomelo dancong left from Ally's stash and continue to keep her alive with us all through the few teas I kept from her stash.
Had the rarest tea in the world today being tea grown in Ohio and the only few grams of harvest that it could produce 😆

Meditative session with Wuyi Star's Hongyun DaHongPao and Cinnabar from Dr Incense.
Featuring a gaiwan with Stitch from Lilo and Stitch.
Took the day off for work to ship orders from the new releaes on Sunday. The more I run this business, I realize it runs me. Whether that is healthy or not is to be determined, however I cannot help but look at the messages I have gotten this year and the positive that Liquid Proust has brought into the world through tea.
This year I have talked to two different children from different parts of the world who lost a parent that had a tea collection they were unsure what to do with it. They were not even into tea but by getting on Google it comes up that I have done this before so now I have turned collections of those who passed into new beginnings for others as well as high school and college sets.
What this does is makes me full of happiness as I can help someone during a tough time but also create new memories through what they left behind.
But behind all of that happiness is the fear that one day I burden my wife with my collection when I am gone. I watched it happen with my best friend when he passed. Hopefully I have many good years ahead of me, but I cannot help but think of a plan that would be eaiest for her.
Such are the thoughts of my day as I brew this yancha and enjoy the incense and how it compliments it.
Lately has been a bit more raw when it comes to emotions because this community has a dark side that is controlled by money and it corrupts
As it is said: comparison is the theif of joy.
Beyond tired of people having to one up someone else's tea. Disappointed by the split within the groups.
And so much more, but all of this is small compared to the possibilities of everything when we work together. So I will keep pouring out my heart, giving up my time, and donating my resources to keep this community growing.
For as long as I can help, nobody is being left behind; so if you know someone whose lost someone, on a fixed income, unemployed, etc. please reach out. We want as many as possible with tea in their cup engaged on Discord. We are social creatures. Let's make friends and share tea.

50g of 2021 Cao Bo and 50g of 2009 Ha Giang for only $15 until the end of September. These are both from Viet Sun, a Vietnamese tea company I purchased the sets from to promote their offerings.
This is below cost to get it out there and make people happy.
Tell a friend who is new to shou or puerh, gift it, get it for yourself, etc.
Fall and winter are coming... we will all crave a cozy warm dark cup of shou. Even better at a low cost.

2026 Assam Doomi yellow tea. On the site now. A beautiful tea all around. Anyone whose part of a tea group locally should pick some up to share with their group/friends. This is such a fun one, yellow tea is still a rarity but it offers a pretty inbetween profile of white tea to green tea allowing us to taste the leafs natrual attributes in a way that sometimes the drinker can best respond by sitting in admiration and silenced opposed to many words of praise.

You can count on me to find something extremely unique and rare to be added to the store every month. This month is a yellow tea from India; specifically from Doomni (Assam).
This will list tomorrow, August 30th 2026, with a few other very exciting treats. While this is for anyone who enjoys a more delicate flavor akin to white tea with a very true to nature flavor of the tea leaf itself, there is no doubt that this tea calls to one specific type of folks: tea nerds.
I've been enjoying it today while preparing the selection of raw puerh to add to the site and it's been one that gives me somewhat vivid glimpse of what the area would be like though I've never been there. Almost as if I can smell the air of the area on a warm day with all the plants combating for their aroma to attract whatever and whoever to come visit.

2026 durian scented oolong
One if those funky tea experiments that came out enjoyable. Been enjoying this one to break apart my normal sessions. Something about it makes me feel young again. Its like trying all those weird candies as a kid.
Once I get half of the durian scented teas sold we will commision mango scenting!

Tea can happen anywhere. Next to the garden where theres no table or anything... just using the dirt, why not?
Some potent ××××××× stuff (secret tea for the moment) as well as reading. Had to pick up as I am year past my undergrad in education with a focus in social studies. The constant battle of what is taught, beleived, and factual can be three different things sadly.
Heavy morning on the brain and body, to follow with a night of anime and more gushu 😆
Do you all enjoy gongfucha when you read or is it too much going on at once?
