Do you remember the first time you saw A-TACS Camo in a blended background, or do you have a favorite pic?
Looking back at earlier shots, we had to get away from using camo-wrapped ri**es for a while because we needed to create some contrast between the camo and the environment. In some cases, it would have been hard to see anything if we didn't.
In all cases, your camo doesn't have to make you completely invisible. It's used to buy TIME, and to ensure you gain the edge of seeing them before they see you. If it's done right, they may never see you, and of course that's a win. Changing the game with organic shapes and no hard lines made a big impact.

Here's an interesting short on YouTube. The camo industry has experienced a lot of changes over the last couple of decades. Some patterns made a bigger impact on the overall industry than others, while others already came and went. There will always be a place in history for the original A-TACS AU, even compared to our other patterns.

"Forgotten" is in the title, but there are military units that still order the original AU and AU-X regularly.
