Goetic spirits have long been maligned by systems of social control that seek to suppress knowledge. They’re mischaracterized as “evil” by monotheistic texts in an effort to erase ancient, pre-Christian spiritual practices. In truth the Goetia have long offered wisdom, healing, protection, and support to those who approach not with an intent to capture and command, but with genuine respect. It is my aim to honor and express gratitude to each of these spirits, a small group at a time, as I have encountered them.
