Hi Ghouls! Thanks to those who stopped in Friday night. We will be open again on Sunday from 1:30-5.

My friend and artist Lauren, had to recently undergo an intense surgery which will require a lot of downtime. I have these items of theirs at my studio. Please consider picking up a sticker, pin or keychain tomorrow. All proceeds go directly to them.

On a recent visit to the , this installation by caught my immediate attention. He is one of 6 highlighted artists featured in the Greater Columbus Visual Arts Fellowship Exhibition.

I have included the placard so that you may read his words about this installation and meaning. Please slide through all images. Spiritus is still a work in progress. It is representations of the plight of passage of immigrants across bodies of water.

I am typically attracted to darker art or subject matter. The appearance of what seemed to be coffins immediately pulled me in. Reading more about this project, gave me more of an appreciation for this body at work.

If you are in the Columbus area, you should stop and check out this exhibition which is on display through 9/20.

I have known this ghoul for a very long time. It was so good to see them and catch up this week, even though they had such a short trip.

They once were an intern at Rivet, they then became an artist at Rivet, and have been and continue to be a good friend to me, the owner of Rivet.😅
