Today we remember those lives that were lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the first responders and every day heroes that helped relentlessly after these attacks occurred. From our family of volunteers at the Comanche Mercantile, we ask that you take a moment to reflect on this anniversary and all of the subsequent events that followed. Who here still wears and uses an apron? Aprons had SO MANY uses and sadly seem to be a thing of days gone by. As an article of clothing, they were primarily used to save the wearers daily dress from being ruined while cooking or cleaning. However, many times they came in handy as a quick potholder while retrieving items from the oven, a quick dust cloth if neighbors stopped by, a holder for corn/grain for your chickens as you sprinkled it out on the yard-and bonus for gathering their eggs, as well as a towel to dry the hands, and so much more! Want to bring them back into daily use? Stop by the Comanche Mercantile and get you one today!

⭐️DID YOU KNOW?⭐️

Did you know that in The Very Back portion of our store, we take furniture on consignment? Furniture is one of the most sought after items in the Comanche Mercantile and we sure get some great pieces! Ask one of our volunteers about how you can become a vendor or speak with Cheryl while you are there. We do have some paperwork for you to fill out so you can get paid!

For those that buy furniture- please make sure to bring a buddy to load the purchased items. We have a loading area in the back alley that you can pull up to and load off of. We ask that you retrieve your items within three days of purchase, so we can make room for more!
