Summer Love at the Book Barn

Remember the special summer loves you had growing up? How you enjoyed spending time together during warm summer days and hot summer nights? In the Book Barn’s wide selection of books you could find your new summer love.

There is romantic love, books such as, The Sight of the Stars by Belva Plain, or The Black Moth by Georgetta Heyer that make you sigh when boy wins girl; However, love isn’t limited to our world. In Kushiel’s Dart, by Jacqueline Carey, part of a series of books, a young girl must fight evil forces to save the world she loves.

Love can also take the form of a passion for hobbies. Cooking delicious meals for family and friends is way to show love. The Book Barn has a good selection of cook books certain to appeal to many different tastes. Many crafters are delighted to find books on the hobbies they love. For those who have fallen in love with a new activity, the Book Barn has books on hunting, fishing, golf and other leisure pursuits to explore.

Come by the Book Barn at 7th and Main Street, Saturdays from 10 AM-2ish PM , or the 2nd and 4th Friday from noon- 4 PM and fall in love with a new book, or two.

What’s on the Shelf

Who doesn’t love a good mystery? Was it the disgruntled butler, the unfaithful wife who wanted her husband’s money to start a new life, or was it someone you never suspected? A good mystery can keep you turning pages until you discover the final answer.
The Comfort Public Library Book Barn has mysteries for all tastes. Whether you are looking for psychological mysteries from writers such as Mary Higgins Clark or grittier crime dramas by the likes of Michael Connelly or Louise Penny, the Book Barn shelves are full of books by these authors and more. Maybe you have fallen for Elizabeth George’s Inspector Thomas Lynley and would enjoy reading her earlier work to trace the development of the character. Or follow how Patricia Cornell’s main character Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner, has changed over the course of the 29 books. There are also lesser-known authors who are equally enthralling and enjoyable.
Come by the Book Barn at 7th and Main Street, during our NEW hours, now open the 2nd and 4th Fridays from noon to 4 pm as well as every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm-ish.
