If you’re trying to make more sales on Depop, here’s what’s been working for me as a parttime seller.

First Hi I’m Daneen I sell across multiple platforms and have been for over 20 years. I am always learning.

💁‍♀️I List consistently on DEPOP (I aim for 5 new listings a day)

I Don’t price too high—Depop has NO seller fees, so you can stay competitive. I sell all kinds of things fashion related so don’t think only vintage sells there. Although I have learned to sell based on styles that sell well. (Think cottage core) etc

Use the dropdown style tags Depop provides when listing—they help buyers find your items.

It’s not overwhelming and a nice chunk of change at the end of each month while I clear out my things.

One of the biggest myths in reselling is that you need huge blocks of time to make progress.

In reality, a lot of growth happens in the small pockets of time you already have — like when you’re watching your favorite shows.

Here’s how I turn a normal binge-watch session into a productive reselling routine:
💎 Edit product photos while episodes play
This is the perfect time to crop, brighten, and organize photos so they’re ready to go.
💎 Research trends during short breaks
I quickly check comps, pricing, and what similar items are selling for right now.
💎 List items while you watch
Once everything is ready, I start listing. Even a few items each night can make a big difference over time.

A lot of resellers burn out because they feel like they have to be “on” all the time. But building a reselling business can also look like working smarter and fitting it into your routine.

It’s not luck — it’s knowing what works. 💡

When people ask how I find thrifted pieces that actually sell fast, the truth is there’s a process behind it. Over time, you start to notice patterns in what moves quickly and what ends up sitting in your inventory.

Here’s what I always look for before picking something up:
💎 Brand reputation matters
Some brands consistently perform better in resale. When I see labels that buyers already trust and search for, I know there’s a higher chance the item will move quickly.
💎 Condition is everything
Even a great brand can sit if the condition isn’t right. I always check for stains, wear, missing buttons, or flaws that could turn buyers away. Clean, well-kept pieces always have an advantage.
💎 I search comps before committing
A quick search can tell you a lot — what similar items are listed for, what they’re actually selling for, and whether demand is there right now. This step saves so much guesswork.
💎 Trend-friendly pieces sell faster
I look for styles that mix easily with what people are currently wearing — colors, silhouettes, or pieces that can be styled in multiple ways. Buyers want items that feel current and wearable.

Over time, this process helps you shop more intentionally instead of just grabbing items that might work. And that’s when reselling really starts to feel easier.

Hey Poshmark Community! When you have the right data and analytics, you can make proper informed decisions for your shop.

Poshmark has added important listing metrics to each listing that you have that only you can see that includes offers days listed number of likes and more.

Why is this important… because this gives us the data to let us know whether or not we want to keep the item in our closet -drop the price -relist it -send out offers and so on.

They also changed our Poshmark stats to include so much more information, including ship time and cancellation rates and more. So at least we won’t have to do the guess work when it comes to that.
