Somehow, owning a bookstore has resulted in me having less time to actually read books. The irony is not lost on me. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Between the bookstore, events, book clubs, my actual day job and life in general reading has had to take the back seat a little this year.

The goal will still be there. The books will definitely still be there.

For now, I’m just enjoying every one I actually get to finish. πŸ“š

One of my favorite parts of owning Page After Page Books has been meeting so many incredible people in our local book community and today I want to give a little love back. ❀️

These amazing women pour so much time and heart into their Little Free Libraries, keeping books circulating and putting stories into the hands of readers throughout our community.

And on a personal note, they have been such wonderful supporters of Page After Page Books coming to events, shopping with us, sharing our posts and cheering on this little bookstore of mine. πŸ₯ΉπŸ“š

One of my favorite things about books is the community they create. β€οΈπŸ“š

As a bookstore owner, I spend a lot of time creating spaces for other readers to connect but I also love getting to simply be a member of a book club myself.

Last night was my yoga studio book club, where we discussed Garden Spells, bedazzled compact mirrors which had an affirmation inside β€œmy heart knows when to bloom,” and I even came home with the cutest little positive frog. 🐸✨

Sometimes it’s nice to not be the host, the organizer, or the bookseller and just be another reader sitting around talking about a book.

Because no matter how many book clubs I host, I still love being part of someone else’s. πŸ’•πŸ“–
