Learning a dance that I’ll will perform in front of 600 people has been a fun challenge, but luckily I have a patient instructor Tamerlan Gadirov at Fred Astaire West Bloomfield to guide the way! I built Survive & Thrive to give others a way to navigate the hard things and maybe feel a little less alone while doing it. 💕

Cancer may have been where my story started, but this has grown into something so much bigger.

It’s for the woman with too many things on her plate.
The woman nervous about a new diagnosis or a change she doesn’t quite understand yet.
The woman who knows something feels off, but hasn’t figured out what she needs next.
The woman trying to take better care of herself while still taking care of everyone else.

Sometimes we don’t need all the answers.

Sometimes we just need a place to get everything out of our head, onto paper, and start making sense of it…one page at a time.

I see you. And I’m building these tools for you. 💗

5 years later… 💕

63 shots in my stomach
1,825 daily pills
1 lumpectomy + 4 lymph nodes removed
1 port placement
6 rounds of chemo
40 rounds of daily radiation
1 year of targeted HER2+ therapy
1 port removal
Countless pokes for blood draws
10+ IVs
6 mammograms
5 MRIs
2 echocardiograms
2 bone density scans
5 birthdays celebrated with my oncologist

And as I turned 45 this year, it all came to an end. 💕

Those are just the tangible things that came with my breast cancer diagnosis.

They don’t count the sleepless nights. The constant worry. The financial stress. The fear before scans. The mental load of always having another appointment, another medication, another “next thing” hanging over you.

For the last five years, I have been in some form of treatment for breast cancer.

And now…I’m not.

It’s a strange thing to say out loud. Especially because I know there are so many people who will never get to say those words.

I know this isn’t the end of my journey. Cancer changed me in ways that don’t disappear just because treatment ends.

But this chapter?

This chapter has ended. 💕

And maybe it’s fitting that as one chapter closes, another one is beginning.

I’ve been working behind the scenes on the next chapter of Survive & Thrive too — shifting, growing, and getting even clearer about who I want to help and why.

So stay tuned.

I have a feeling 45 is going to be the beginning of something really good. ✨

It may only be a few dollars, but every duck helps support breast cancer patients and their families with the everyday financial expenses that don’t stop just because treatment starts.

So yes…buy the silly little duck. 🐥
