Great Lakes Granite Works will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We’ll return to regular hours on Tuesday.
Labor Day is a good time to recognize the people behind the finished work!
The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, when workers were coming together to advocate for better working conditions. In 1894, Labor Day became a federal holiday.

In our world, a finished countertop, surface, or architectural detail represents a lot of skilled work. From selecting the right material to measuring, fabricating, finishing, and installing it, there are experienced people behind every finished project.

Stone and surface materials may be beautiful on their own, but it takes skilled hands to turn them into something that works in a space and stands up to everyday use.

This Labor Day, we’re grateful for the people who take pride in their work and make good projects possible.
