Today always holds a special place in my heart. Some of the bravest Americans showed up to what would be the largest rescue job in American history. They knew the building was in trouble, they went in anyways. This would ultimately lead to me becoming a firefighter just like several Americans from my generation did. Rest easy brothers and sisters. I will never forget.
