Sometimes I have a huge to do list, and instead I recreate pictures I saw on the internet. This is my attempt at a Pride flag made of things found around Penumbra. It’s almost June’s First Friday, and we’re hosting a Plant Swap! We’ve done swaps in so many locations, but never inside Penumbra. We decided First Friday was a great excuse to have a Plant Swap, especially when the theme is Concord Pride! You know us - any reason to celebrate is valid, but coming together in community to share plants, what’s better than that?!

Bring a plant, leave with a different one! The Swap is on Friday, June 5, from 4:00-8:00. It should be lots of fun!

Last night was an absolute dream. Penumbra was awarded a grant along with 28 other amazing New Hampshire businesses. The NH Community Loan Fund’s Community-Driven Economic Empowerment (C-DEE) Accelerator program provides capacity-building funding for New Hampshire entrepreneurs to help their businesses become financially resilient and self-sufficient. What a gift the grant is, and the ceremony was so inspiring. There was a panel of NH entrepreneurs, and they were wonderful to hear from and made me excited to continue this path! Thank you, !!

Next week on Wednesday, 5/27, Alyssa and I are hosting Houseplants 101 at the Concord shop. Come hang out with us for 90 minutes while we talk about plants. If you’ve been anxious to get into houseplants but don’t know where to start, I’d recommend this class. If you have some houseplants and have questions about them, I’d recommend this class. If you just want to learn more about houseplants in general, I’d recommend this class.
