Heads up! Both Viking House and Nordic Notes & Notions will be closed on Tuesday, September 22nd. 🗓

Our current point of sale system (the system you use to buy all of your items and pay with) is getting a much-needed upgrade! 💻 Our current system is getting outdated and slowing down and we want to make sure that you don't have to deal with those consequences, so we are upgrading! Change is hard, but we're excited to make this change and it should improve things for everyone as we move forward. In order to make this change we've decided to close for the day.

Our goal is that this change will be barely perceptible to you, but we will have a bit of a learning curve for the first little bit. We will be back to our normal hours on Wednesday, September 23rd, but for the first few days may be a tiny bit slower during check out as we may need to ask questions or manually search for items in the new system. We promise to do our best to avoid any delays and just ask for a tiny bit of patience! 😇

The good news: We are making this switch now so that we will have very few delays during the holiday season! 🎄 If you visited last November through December, you may have experienced some delays as we could only have one register open at Viking House since we were sharing our system with Nordic Notes & Notions. This new system will not be dependent on each other, and we will be able to open and close a 2nd register as needed to make things go faster and keep lines short! 🛍️

We're open today! Come visit us at Viking House and Nordic Notes & Notions from 10:30-5 today! Due to the holiday, both garage and street parking are free all day!
