Did you know? 🤔
Gibson Mill - Concord, NC isn’t just one building or business. Once a textile plant, it’s now host to all sorts of beloved businesses and attractions. Below are the anchor businesses that call our campus home:
The Depot At Gibson Mill - an 88,000 square foot antique mall on the same property (largest in the Southeastern US - people come from all over the place to shop!)
AutoBarn Classic Cars - an 80,000+ classic car and other vehicle consignment showroom (but also memorabilia and all kinds of cool stuff for classic vehicle lovers). It's FREE to walk around and take in everything that's in there and their inventory is constantly changing. Definitely worth the trip. Our tip for couples or folks coming as a pair with differing interests: if you love shopping and they love cars, you can split up and both be happy for hours. 😉
Cabarrus Brewing Company and High Branch Brewing Co. are both out here as well. Both brew award-winning beer, but they also offer seltzers, wine, THC drinks, etc. CBC has an incredible biergarten, and HB has a really lovely covered patio as well.
Luck Factory Games - largest board game library in NC. $8 admission gets you all day play. It's such a cool concept and they host a gazillion events a month (no kidding - they literally host about 75 events a month) so there's always something going on that all ages can join or enjoy, if you're into group gaming or experiences. Their staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about literally every game you can imagine; if there’s something your group wants to learn to play, they will gladly help you learn.
Gibson Mill Market - aka The Food Hall at Gibson Mill, they’re home to several vendors: Petalcakes (they also have a full coffee bar!), Taco Street, Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers, Thai Esane at Gibson Mill Market, and an awesome ice cream place that's not on Facebook (Gelato di Luna, named after the owner's daughter.) High Branch and Luck Factory are in our building as well on the lower level. In addition to the food vendors, the main level features The Market Bar, a full service bar that offers all kinds of wonderful stuff, including on-draft cocktails (we recommend the Paloma 😉) and an extensive selection of bourbon.
If you want the most incredible Italian food you've ever had in your life, you must must MUST make a reservation at Gianni's Trattoria. Co-owned by Chef Heather (who trained at Culinary Institute of America and then spent several years in Italy) and Gianni himself, it's an experience in not just fine dining but some of the most welcoming hospitality you've ever experienced. We eat there whenever we can.
If you’ve been fortunate enough to attend an event at City Club at Gibson Mill, you know what a special place it truly is. It's one of the premiere event spaces in the area. They host everything from weddings, corporate events, bar/bat mitzvahs, reunions to proms (they host every single prom for Cabarrus County Schools every spring!). They always do the most incredible job with their setups, all thanks to their phenomenal team and sister business, Epic Events & Rentals.
There's all kinds of other amazing stuff on our campus, but those are our anchor businesses. If you want to see a map of the entire property, you can check that out on our website (linked below). Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the property map.
There's a ton of hotels close to us (we're about 5 miles from Exit 49 off I-85, (which is apparently the biggest/busiest exit in all of NC), so lodging is not an issue at all.
So there you have it - a virtual tour of our campus, of sorts! We hope you’ll make plans to join us again on campus soon.
