DO
✔️ Be specific — tell us exactly what you'll do and who it helps
✔️ Show us how you'll measure your impact
✔️ List out exactly what the grant dollars will fund
✔️ Keep it short, sweet, and to the point

DON'T
✖️ Ask us to cover ongoing costs like rent or utilities
✖️ Say you'll simply "build community" — show us how
✖️ Be shy about reaching out with questions

What does it actually mean to "NEST" with us? 🪺 It's more than our name — it's how we decide who to fund.

🌿 Nurture — a welcoming space where everyone feels valued, supported, and surrounded by kindness
🌱 Elevate — vibrant events and programs that help our community grow together
🤝 Serve — Proceeds going back into essential resources and new opportunities
📚 Teach — opportunities for learning and sharing that uplift everyone

Your grant application doesn't need to check every box — just show us how your project brings one (or more!) of these values to life for our neighbors. That's what we're looking for.

Our doors are open — application doors, that is! 🪺 The Community NEST grant application is officially live.

So, who can apply? Honestly, more people than you'd think:
🏡 Nonprofits
🏫 Schools & government entities
💼 Local businesses
🙋 Individuals with a great idea

We especially love hearing from our neighbors in Conifer, Bailey, Pine, Evergreen, Morrison, and Indian Hills/Kittredge — the 285 corridor is home, and this fund exists because of you.

If you've got a project that nurtures, elevates, serves, and/or teaches our community, we want to hear about it. Applications are open now through September 30.

Mark your calendars 🪺 Our Summer/Fall Community NEST grant cycle opens September 1st!

Twice a year, we take the earnings from your thrifted treasures and reinvest them right back into our 285 corridor communities — because every purchase you make here helps someone else Nurture, Elevate, Serve, and/or Teach.

Starting Sept. 1, we'll be accepting applications from nonprofits, businesses, schools, government entities, and individuals with a project that helps our neighbors thrive. Applications close September 30, so start thinking now about how you'd bring your idea to life.

📣 Calling All Community Champions! Grant Applications Open on Sept. 1 📣

Do you know a 285 corridor nonprofit doing great work? An extracurricular school program that could use a boost? A neighbor with a big idea to strengthen our community? This is your sign to apply for Community NEST's Semi-Annual Grant Program!

We fund projects that bring our N.E.S.T values to life — Nurture, Elevate, Serve, and Teach — and we welcome applications from nonprofits, government entities, businesses, and individuals alike.

Priority goes to projects benefiting our 285 corridor neighbors.

There's no dollar limit, but every application needs a clear picture of the program, how you'll measure success, and the line items you're hoping to fund.

🎉 Announcing Our Semi-Annual Grant Winners! 🎉

Every purchase, donation, and volunteer hour at the NEST helps us Nurture, Elevate, Serve, and Teach our Conifer community — and this cycle, we're thrilled to pass that support on to three incredible local efforts. 🩵🫶🪺💚

🧵 Pillow Hugs — A group of caring neighbors who sew and donate handmade pillowcases for kids at Camp Comfort, a summer camp for children ages 6-12 grieving the loss of a loved one. This is nurturing in its truest form — comfort, stitched by hand, for kids who need it most.

🏆 Destination Imagination — This grant sent the West Jefferson Middle School teams to the global finals of this STEAM competition in Kansas City after they qualified at CO State Finals. Because of this support, every single team member got to compete on the world stage. That's what elevating our youth looks like!

🤝 All Access Wellness — This grant will fund 1:1 and group therapy for uninsured and underinsured neighbors, helping people build resilience, reduce isolation, and strengthen their families. Serving our community's mental health, one connection at a time.

These three organizations embody everything the N.E.S.T stands for, and we're so proud that our shop’s proceeds made this possible. Thank you to every shopper, donor, and volunteer who helped fund this cycle's grants — you are the reason neighbors can help neighbors. 🙌
